Harnessing and developing your skills to ensure you reach your fullest potential is the focus of my work.

INSPIRATION & GUIDING PHILOSOPHY

I am fascinated by what it means to be human; what drives us; what unites and separates us; how we live in light and shadow, and how finding and understanding our authentic voice allows us to live freely in both places. It is this understanding, and being with our authentic selves that allows us to be in the moment and respond to impulse, whether it be a character or text. For an actor to know the role he is playing, he needs to first of all know himself, in order to leave that behind, in order to let that go.Exploring relationship with ourselves, our communications and our conflicts, informs our personal, creative and professional lives.

ABOUT DANIELLE

“I grew up in London a child of the seventies and came of age with Thatcherism in the eighties, so my formative years, maybe like all of us, were made up of opposing forces. I trained as an actor, which made me aware of the contradiction between having to be vulnerable and yet thick skinned so I worked on the other side of the camera as a casting director. Fascination with psychology, psychotherapy, acting and business made being a casting director a perfect fit for twelve years. I practiced yoga to stay sane, Feldenkrais and Alexander technique to stay in my body and managed to travel extensively with and without work, which fed my interest in the world and its people. I started studying the voice because I kept losing mine, physically and emotionally. What I found was confidence and a new career, something that encompassed all my passions, life and work experience. Thirteen years and two children later I moved continents and am now living in Sydney”. – Danielle Roffe
